The privacy page. I know. Bear with me. Here is everything you need to know about how I handle your data, written like a normal human being.
Who’s behind this
Move by Candice is run by me, Candice Smith. This is how I collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the website or sign up for anything.
What I collect
When you book a session, sign up, or reach out, I collect what I actually need to help you: your name, email, and phone number. If you sign in with Google, I get your name and email from there too.
Analytics and cookies
I use analytics to understand how people find and use the site, so I can keep making it better. This includes session recordings: replays of how visitors move through the pages, which show me where things get confusing. Your keystrokes in forms are not recorded, and sensitive fields like your email, phone, and any payment details are hidden from the replays.
If you are visiting from the UK or Europe, none of this runs until you say yes on the cookie banner. From elsewhere it is on by default, and you can turn it off any time from “Cookie settings” in the footer. Either way the choice is yours, and you can change it whenever you like.
The tool I use for this is PostHog, on their European servers, so the data stays in the EU. The essential cookies that keep the site running, like the one that keeps you signed in, are always on.
How I use it
To run sessions, send you relevant updates, and occasionally improve the website. That is it. I do not sell your data to anyone. Full stop.
Who else touches your data
To run any of this I lean on a few trusted services, so your details pass through them: a host for the website, a database to keep your account, and an email service to send things like your sign-in link. For analytics and session recordings I use PostHog, on their European servers. A few of them are based in the US. They handle the data on my behalf. They do not get to use it for their own purposes.
How long I keep it
For as long as you are part of Move by Candice, plus a reasonable while after, in case you come back or I need it for things like receipts. Want it gone sooner? Just say the word.
Your rights
You can access, update, or delete your data at any time. Just ask and I will sort it. And if you ever feel I have mishandled your data, you have the right to raise it with your local data protection authority. I would much rather you came to me first so I can put it right.
